I was greatly distressed to hear over the news en-route to work that a darling girl in a semi-rural area, a precious little girl who had been missing was eventually found near her home. Four family members were questioned. Murder most foul. My heart shrivelled this morning and I even now, I battle to get out of that funk. 😦
Id eat the peas with my Dad. It was meant for the sales at the market. Dad asked me not to tell on us. I was only 5. Gran used to pretend anger and Dad pretended not to hear. Good times. Id collect sticks and surreptiously check if the carrots were ready to eat. Good times. I miss my Gran.
