Heartfelt words

“I don’t think of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains.” – Anne Frank

Thank you to Gibberish for her Heartfelt post on Christmas and her use of Anne Frank’s words.

Annelies Marie “Anne” Frank was a German-Dutch diarist of Jewish origin. One of the most discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust, she gained fame posthumously with the publication of The Diary of a Young Girl, in which she documents her life in hiding from 1942 to 1944, during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II.

  1. I like this quote. I have never read the diary but am familiar with the story. I like the comparison to 2020 but actually I think it is applicable more widely. I believe those people who clutch and focus on negative steal the beauty that is like Anne shared – still existing to be appreciated. – Thanks for sharing her wisdom especially as the new year is only a few days away. = David
